Dallas Museum of Art

General admission is free, which makes this the easiest low-stakes rainy-day call in the Arts District. The DMA leans into families with a dedicated Center for Creative Connections where kids can make art, touch things, and hang their work on the wall. Ancient American gold, Egyptian artifacts, and big contemporary installations give younger kids something to point at without you having to explain much. Because it costs nothing to walk in, a 45-minute visit that ends in a meltdown still counts as a win. Free family art activities run on select weekends.
