City-run RV and tent camping ten minutes from Main Street, the practical base for Enchanted Rock and the Fredericksburg peach stands

Fredericksburg has almost no public camping, and this city-run park on the south side of town is the practical answer. It has RV sites with hookups and tent camping alongside a golf course, a swimming pool, sports fields and a creek, roughly ten minutes from Main Street and the shops. It is not a wilderness experience, but for a family using Fredericksburg as a base for Enchanted Rock, Old Tunnel and the peach stands, being able to walk kids to a pool after a hot morning is worth more than scenery.
