A hands-on science museum in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, in a building left over from the 1964 Worlds Fair. Design Lab lets kids build and test structures with real materials and staff who leave them to it. Connected Worlds is a room-size interactive digital ecosystem projected across the walls that children physically change by moving around. Mathematica, Sports Challenge and a preschool Discovery Zone cover a wide age spread. An outdoor Science Playground and rocket park open seasonally. Easy to reach on the 7 train and a solid all-weather New York day out.
